Academic Reading, Writing and Thinking

Description

This is a first-year, first-semester course that integrates critical reading, thinking, and composition. Through a progression of increasingly challenging assignments, students develop their discursive skills through expository writing and academic argument.

Note: Students enrolled in English 110 are expected to have reading and writing skills appropriate to university-level discourse. This course does not offer remedial or preparatory English instruction, nor does it offer instruction in English as a Second Language.
